When I got the new work tables in the studio, they were about an inch higher than my old desk. No problem – just raise my chair up, right?
As I mentioned in the prior post, I spent the day working at my computer yesterday. Getting-up out of the chair later in the evening I noticed an intense pain in my right thigh… odd … I didn’t remember hurting myself or spraining any muscles.
This morning when I got-up I could barely walk. I had to go out to the truck and get my cane (torn meniscus in left knee troubles me intermittently and I’m putting-off surgery) So I’m hobbling around the house and totally baffled as to what has happened to me. I get on the internet and type-in my symptoms … and there it is, plain as day. I gave myself a case of Sciatica (pinched nerve) from raising the chair so that my knees were lower than my hips.
I’m sure it will get back to normal soon, as I’ve lowered the chair back down now and will stay off it for a couple days. But – OMFG! It’s unbelievable that just sitting in a chair could cause all this!
My GAWD I’m OLD!! LOL
